An endless stream, a great silence, an impenetrable forest.
Heart of Darkness, by Joseph Conrad, Chapter II Page 2
Oder-Neisse is book about a border, and beyond that, borders in general. It is the name given to the Polish-German border formed at the end of the second world war.
Photographed in that region between 2013 and 2016 and exploring themes of land, identity and occupation, it is inspired by the writing of Joseph Conrad and in particular his 1899 novel, “Heart of Darkness”.
