Perhaps this is also a kind of resistance against an increasingly fast-moving and volatile world which is being subjected to relentless digitalisation, a world in which functionality and efficiency will always take precedence.
Her deliberately unwieldy work resist the pressure to be technically perfect. They tell of the sensual materials and the creative traces that people leave behind. They tell of hands that can accomplish things that go beyond running one’s fingers over the mirror-smooth touch screens.
