Satoshi Machiguchi 1000
1000 pages of full-framed, close-cropped photographs of some of the most influential photo-books of the past seven decades. A resource and a treasure, it is authored by art director Satoshi Machiguchi, an individual referred to as “the son of a photo-book” and known for his work as a designer of photo- and art-books with photographers such as Daido Moriyama.
Takuma Nakahira 1000
Takuma Nakahira 1000 was selected from black & white photographs of cars and vehicles, shot in a frantic, almost accidental manner, discovered during preparations for the exhibition“Takuma Nakahira: Degree Zero – Yokohama”at the Yokohama Museum of Art in 2003.
Mitsutoshi Hanaga 1000
After the Second World War, Mitsutoshi Hanaga (b. 1933) experienced the bright side of the post-war period as much as the dark side. In his work, Hanaga captured the stories that unfolded below the visible surface and concerned himself with an underground world that saw itself ignored by society.
